Flower-filled, Waterwise Plant Combo for Sun

This palette of plants can be used to create a fantastic four-season. low-water garden for a sunny spot. Plenty of evergreen plants are included to ensure it has year-round structure. While not evergreen, the Natchez crape myrtle is beautiful all year, including winter when its smooth bark steals the show. A sequence of flowers unfolds all summer long providing a beautiful display and plenty to attract bees, butterflies, and hummers. To implement this palette, use the crape myrtle as your anchor; most likely using just one. Depending upon the size your garden you are making you may use one or several of the other evergreen, structure-making plants: Abelia 'Rose Creek', Cephalotaxus, and Juniperus 'Daub's Frosted'. Using several Yucca 'Color Guard' will ensure the make a strong statement. Again, depending on the size of the garden you are creating, you may use several roses if you've got the room. The remainder of the perennials can be used to create a flowering vignette that is repeated multiple times in the spaces between the larger, anchoring plants.
