Peach and Purple Perennial Combo for Sun

This perennial planting combination for full sun features peach and purple blooms of varying shapes starting in late spring. Allium 'Purple Sensation', with its purple orbs atop stems, hovers over its neighbors; a dwarf bearded iris of purple and ivory called Yo-Yo, and a peach-flowering verbascum called Jackie. All thrive in full sun and well-draining soil and are quite drought tolerant once established. Verbascum 'Jackie' can be persuaded to repeat bloom by deadheading. The iris, however is a one-hit wonder; so enjoy! The dried seed heads of Allium 'Purple Sensation' can provide architectural interest well into late summer depending on how wet and destructive the weather has been to them.
