Mixed Border Plant Combo for Slope with Fall Focus

Plants in this collection, sited in full sun on a steep street-side slope were almost certainly selected first for their ability to get established in such challenging growing conditions, but as the photo attests, they've not only survived, they've thrived! Shown here in fall, a peak season for this vignette: the rosemary is continuing to offer its blue blooms; the maiden grass at the base of the wall is lush and full; the sedum and ornamental grape are both beginning to take on their rich burgundy tones, typical of the season; and the Midwinter Fire shrub dogwood while doing the lion's share of the work of holding the slope in place, is also a lovely contributor with its foliage taking on golden fall tones, and later it will take center stage, offering a brilliant display of colorful stems throughout winter.
