The videos here come from my own NE Portland yard, from client gardens I've designed over the years, and from other gardens worth paying attention to. Some are tours—the garden at its best, or at an interesting moment of transition. Others get into process: what I changed, what I was thinking, what I'd do differently now.
The channel isn't instructional in the step-by-step sense. It's more like walking around with someone who's been paying close attention for a long time. I talk about plants, about design decisions, about what's working and what isn't. The goal is to give you something useful to take back to your own garden.
