Plant Combo with Fabulous Foliage and Flower for Woodland Garden

A wonderful variety of foliage shapes and textures are unified by a color scheme of pink-to-burgundy, white and blue. In spring, the emerging foliage of Eskimo Sunset sycamore maple is especially fresh and showy, but the dark undersides of the leaves echo the burgundy foliage of the fringe flower and Heuchera 'Georgia Plum' year-round. Blue foliage of the Podocarpus 'Blue Gem' and Hosta 'Halcyon' echo the blue-green tones of the tree's variegated foliage. Pendulous white blooms of Hawkshead hardy fuchsia appear summer into fall. Evergreen structure is provided by the Blue Mountain Plum Pine and, variably, the Loropetalum, depending upon how harsh the winter is and/or how protected its location is.
