Simple and Sophisticated Planting Scheme for Front Entry Garden

The simple sophistication of this entry garden is at once modern and naturalistic. It is an excellent mix of textures and I really like its interlocking drifts and flowing lines. Flowers and fall color feature as well—the ivory panicles of the oakleaf hydrangea will age to pink. Soon, the crape myrtle will bloom. Both will provide fall color later in the season. This wonderful entry garden was observed from the street in Portland, OR USDA Zone 8b. Designer unknown.
