Leathery foliage is handsome year-round but this evergreen perennial is most beloved for creamy blooms that decorate the garden during the dark days of late winter and very early spring.

"Outstanding Qualities
This vigorous hybrid hellebore starts flowering in late winter with dark burgundy-pink buds opening with flat outward-facing ivory white flowers. The blooms are flushed with pale green and are profusely borne on strong short stems. As the flowers age they turn shades of pink and pale green. The overall effect is quite beautiful. The leaves are deep green with light silvery veins and a compact rounded to upright habit. It is a very tidy plant in growth.

Culture Notes
Helleborus IVORY PRINCE grows best in full sun to light shade with a rich well-drained soil. It will tolerate sandy soils and clay if the drainage is adequate. Water regularly until established then occasional watering will suffice. Foliage can be pruned off in December or early January to show off the blooms.
