This small spruce of compact habit and very slow growth forms a delightful, rounded shrub with beautiful blue needles. Though globose when young, I've read that it eventually matures into "a stately tree with tiered branching and a squat pyramidal shape." However, I've been growing mine for 10 years and it's still very compact and has maintained its rounded form. This slow-growing dwarf conifer with its tidy appearance is a great choice for small, low-maintenance gardens. Since it looks great year-round, it's perfect for adding curb appeal to front yard gardens.
