Chamaecyparis pisifera filifera 'Golden Mop'

Golden Mop Threadleaf False Cypress

Evergreen Conifer, Shrub

Mounding grower with bright yellow thread-like branches. It gets its best golden color with plenty of sun, but will still shine brightly in light shade. Best with afternoon shade from hot summer sun. They're cold tolerant and will thrive in a wide range of conditions and is drought tolerant once established. This is a relatively compact conifer that reaches only 3 ft. tall, 4 ft. wide, although it will continue to grow slowly and will get larger with time. A smaller, but virtually interchangeable alternate to Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Vintage Gold' from a design standpoint, just remember to adjust the spacing between the plants.
