Euphorbia rigida

Gopher Plant

Evergreen Perennial

Architectural and beautiful blue-green foliage is topped by lime green flowers starting in spring and continuing into early summer. The blooms often take on rosy tones as they age. When they're no longer pleasing, cut spent blooms to the base to freshen the plant. A caution: be very careful of its milky sap when working around it, be sure to protect your eyes, skin and never ingest. Extremely easy to grow, this drought-tolerant and deer-resistant perennial hails from Mediterranean climes and is a good match for Pacific Northwest gardens.
