Penstemon 'Ruby'

Beardtongue

Deciduous, Semi-evergreen Perennial

Penstemon 'Ruby' is a long-blooming perennial with vivid, medium-sized scarlet flowers with red streaking in their white throats. The green foliage is somewhat narrow. Like all hybrid penstemon, it needs full sun and well-drained, not overly fertile, soil. Narrow foliage. A 1/4-10 crushed gravel mulch around its crown can help stave off root rot in wet climates.
