Airy Froth and Purple Spires Scream Summer in Full Sun

The airy froth of Deschampsia 'Northern Lights' mingling with the purple spires of Salvia 'May Night' is a wonderful starting point for a sunny perennial border. Adding other sun-loving, perennials would round out the show and extend the season of interest. A coneflower, such as E. 'Sundown' would be a perfect addition with its daisy-shaped flowers adding variety. Subbing another perennial sage would yield similar results, for example S. 'Caradonna'.
