Deschampsia cespitosa 'Northern Lights'

Northern Lights Tufted Hair Grass

Deciduous, Semi-evergreen Grass / Grass-Like, Perennial

Great for containers, but also nice massed as an edging plant along a path or in front of the bed. Valued for its variegated, semi-evergreen foliage infused with pink, most prominently in spring. In summer, a froth of airy blooms results in an entirely different look. Watch for reverting foliage that is plain green and remove, all the way to the roots to prevent it from overwhelming the variegated foliage.
